For decades, dozens of Azorean children were given by their biological parents to American couples assigned to Lajes military base on the island of Terceira. Many of them live today in the anguish of that past and totally disconnected from their roots. We traveled to the USA and found some of these children, now men and women... adults... and also the parents who adopted them.
