SYNOPSIS
From dance to taste, from Argentina to the West and from love to hate, "Rosa Fogo" tells a contemporary, modern and very emotional story. Ranging from urban and rural, it tells stories of real people, with dramas and existences we all can relate to. Glamour, humour, hope and love are the four main pillars of this novel, based on the world’s current situation, so that people can dream of a better tomorrow.
Gilda Azevedo Mayer, grandmother. Maria Mayer, the eldest granddaughter, flamenco dancer. Matilde Mayer, the youngest grandchild. Owners of a pharmaceutical empire - which Forella, a hair product company is part of - make up a family reduced to three by fate. United and strong, they will see their lives shattered by the entry of Jose da Maia, a seducer who wants to get hold of the Mayer fortune and elaborates a plan to achieve this: he pretends to be the son Gilda gave birth to 50 years ago. Gilda lives deluded with the presence of son. And has no clue that Jose is responsible for the death of Horácio, her real son, who was taken to Argentina at a young age and lived ever since.
Jose’s plan includes hiring Diogo, an ex-offender, to seduce Maria and keep her under their control. Maria does not know who Diogo is, she does not know she is being fooled, but still she can not avoid the presence of Estevão - a promising young manager, in her life. He falls in love with her. And she will do everything to not recognize that he is not indifferent to her ...
What Jose did not expect was the fierce opposition of little Matilde. Always accompanied by her Labrador retrievers, the dogs family Mayer breeds at their Western estate. Matilda is a sensitive child who senses the evil that Jose is preparing to do. She is willing to do anything to stop him.
In addition to these stories, "Rosa Fogo" also has elements of humour (at settings such as café “Imperatriz” and barber shop “Barbeiro de Sevilha”), with visual richness of scenarios such as Argentina and the West of Portugal, with strong presence of dance - flamenco, tango, classical ballet - and with cases based on real situations, all destined to make the you think, dream and believe in the future.
